Choleena Di Tullio

Choleena Di Tullio graduated from Mount Allison University’s Fine Art programme in 1994 with an Honours Degree in Painting and Mixed Media.

Her works have been included in many solo and group exhibitions. In 2005 her paintings exhibited at the Gitputjiti Gallery at the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre. In 2004 she participated in a group show at Struts Gallery in Sackville and in 2003 her work appeared in a juried exhibition at the Moncton City Hall gallery. Thirty of Choleena's illustrations are on permanent display in the headquarters of the Canadian Wildlife Service.

Since earning her Degree she has developed her skills in graphic design. She is a co-founder of a very successful business, Tantramar Interactive which operates in Sackville, New Brunswick offering web site design and management. In 2003, she was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year presented by Enterprise Southeast - Economic Development for Southeast New Brunswick. In 1998 she was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation presented by Lt. Gov. Marilyn Trenholme in recognition of work donated to the Sackville Waterfowl Park.

Choleena is a valued member of organizations dedicated to the cultural activities of her community. She has assisted both Owens Art Gallery and Struts Gallery in this capacity. “My watercolours focus on a quintessentially Maritime theme: fish. I employ a variety of media to create a surface above the paper and above water (colour!) bringing a playfulness to the walls on which they are hung.” Her watercolours can be found in private collections across Canada and in Australia.

Choleena’s works are a welcome addition to the Fog Forest Gallery collection.
