In conjunction with the current exhibition, artist Susan Paterson will conduct a watercolour workshop for interested artists in Sackville, New Brunswick from October 22 - 24, 2010.
Starting with a discussion on how to work with source materials - using good photos, how to improve on photos and working with still life objects - this workshop will cover subjects such as set-up, composition, drawing and watercolour painting techniques.
Friday evening's session, beginning at 7 pm, will be held at Fog Forest Gallery for a view of the exhibit, an informal talk with a question and answer period. Saturday's "hands-on" workshop will run from 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday from 9 am - 3 pm. Students will work on a painting from their own photos or still life objects. Students are also required to bring their own supplies.
